A team from the World Health Organization (WHO) will visit Kuwait soon to evaluate the country's Ebola counter-measures, said an official here Monday.

Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health Dr. Majida Al-Qattan said in a press statement that the team will visit several locations including Kuwait International Airport, the emergency department of the civil defense, and Health Ministry facilities to evaluate its countermeasures against Ebola.

The official affirmed Kuwait's readiness to tackle the Ebola virus, stressing that no Ebola case had been recorded in the country.

Kuwait will continue to coordinate with the WHO and other health organizations to fight the deadly disease, said Al-Qattan.
