Viking Club of the Radisson blu Hotel holds 3 K Fun Run

The Viking Club of the Radisson Blu Hotel held on Saturday morning its year-end fun run wherein the participants included health club members, invited guests and staff of the hotel. The fun run, which commenced at the Messilah area was organized by the hotel’s health club and fronted by Ivan Tsenkov, Director Recreations and staff.

Participants registered at the reception of the club, were given numbers and then transported to the starting point of the run. Fitness instructors Ricky, assisted by Viktor, led the group to a power packed ten-minute warm-up and later directed everyone to the starting line. Police assistance blocked a lane of the Gulf road to give way for runners to use. The run ended at the grounds of Hashemi II.

Runners then convened at the pool bar area, where a light breakfast was served prepared by the Executive Chef and his team. Prizes were awarded to the winners by the Philippe Pelaud, General Manager of the hotel and assisted by Tsenkov. Winners of the run were John Lambert in fourth place, John Britto on third place, Greg Ziembinski second place and Emad Mahamad winning the first place.

Women’s category winners were; Laura Lundell on third place, Helen Searle second place and Wendy winning the first place. Kid’s category winners were; Tor Lambert on third place, Bejoy Abrehim on second place and Bradley Merguihao winning the first place. Gift certificates courtesy of the hotel were awarded to the winners.

The fun run is held annually and a project of the Viking Club of the Radisson Blu hotel. Among other activities of the club are annual dinner for its members, fitness challenges, outdoor sports, varied cardiovascular exercises and personal training.
