A 16-member business delegation from Gujarat led by Dr Rajiv Kumar Gupta, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Gujarat and Managing Director, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (GNFC) will be visiting Kuwait from 9 to10 October.
The delegation comprises of senior officials from the Government of Gujarat and representatives of Reliance Industries Ltd., Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd (Adani Group), GNFC, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Meghmani Organics Ltd., Petronet LNG Ltd., Kiri Industries Ltd., Dasaldhan Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Thana Acid & Chemical Co., Dineshchandra R. Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd., ITNL International DMCC, Rajiv Petrochemicals Pvt. Ltd., Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Invest India and KPMG in India.
The visit aims to promote the “Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017”, to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from 10 to 13 January 2017, and seek active participation from Kuwait at the Summit. The delegation members will explore trade and investment opportunities in Kuwait, including collaborations and tie-ups with businesses and enterprises of Kuwait.
During the visit, the Gujarat Delegation would, inter alia, meet the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Kuwait; CEOs of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, KOC, KNPC, PIC, KPI: and Director General, Kuwait Ports Authority. KPMG, Kuwait would organize a networking event for the Gujarat delegation with the participation of the members of Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC), Kuwait.
The Embassy in association with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) is organizing a Business-to-Business (B2B) Meeting at the KCCI’s Al Bahra Meeting Hall (2nd Floor) on Monday, 10 October at 11:00 am. During the meeting, the Gujarat Delegation will interact with the members of KCCI as well as the representatives of companies registered with the KCCI to brief them about the investment opportunities in Gujarat and the “Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017”.
