VIVA, Kuwait’s fastest-growing and most developed telecom operator, has announced its sponsorship of the 35th Annual Al Roudan Indoor Football Tournament, which will be held during the Holy month of Ramadan under the patronage of His Highness The Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. The opening ceremony took place last Friday, 27 June 2014 in the presence of VIVA’s Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Badran and senior executives from VIVA.
Commenting on VIVA’s sponsorship, Al-Badran said: “VIVA is honored to sponsor and take part in the annual Al Roudan Tournament. We are looking forward to see the new surprises and developments announced during the opening ceremony as the organizing committee has made tremendous efforts to offer this year the best tournament yet.”

Our sponsorship does not only cover footballers and aspiring players but also extends to football fans and enthusiasts to give them the opportunity to follow the exciting athletic competition between various teams and learn the details and latest developments of the tournament."
During the ceremony, the organizing committee revealed the stars of the 35th tournament that is set to welcome the Inter Milan legend, ex- player of the Argentine national team, Javier Zanetti, who will form the Argentina team to meet the former player of the Italy national team, Alessandro Nesta, who will lead the Italian teams of Azzuri fans in Kuwait. Former Brazil National team defender, Roberto Carlos, will also attend the event and will create a Brazilian team of Samba enthusiasts in Kuwait to confront the Portugal team of Brazil-Europe lovers led by the star Diko.
The organizing committee also announced the commentator names for the tournament, the Egyptian Ahmed Al Tayeb and the Saudi Abdullah Al Harby. Furthermore, there will be live coverage of the tournament games and activities on the Kuwait Television Sports channel and Dubai Sports.
The tournament is dedicated to the late Abdullah Mishari Al Roudan, and has become increasingly popular among football fans over the years and with the rising levels of competiveness among participating teams.
