VIVA, Kuwait’s fastest-growing and most developed telecom operator, announced the activities it has held through its sponsorship of the annual national conference of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS) - United Kingdom and Ireland branch (UK), which was under the patronage of Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. The event took place at the Park Plaza Westminster hotel in London from 31 October to 1 November, 2014.
The conference featured several activities including free photography workshop and skill training for students, offered by the professional photographer, Abdul Aziz Al Duwaisan, who shared his success story with VIVA. Al Duwaisan, also known as Bonmr on Instagram, held a lecture on the art and skills of photography, and the various techniques he uses when developing any his photo campaigns.
He shared with the students his experience with working with VIVA’s team in creating the various campaigns, and the technical side of making the ‘magic’ happen, which lenses to use, when and how to use photo-shop program to enhance images or create something completely new. Al Duwaisan welcomed any and all questions from the students and invited them to follow his instagram page and visit his website to be able to see his new creations in the future.
In addition, young artist Alaa Al-Hindi held an entertaining session as she described her journey with VIVA. Al-Hindi shared her experience in television and as an entertainer, what it takes to be a creative TV personality, and the steps it took for her to accomplish her many goals. She lectured the students on the aspects behind the scenes of shooting her VIVA TV commercial: ‘challenge competition’ for the elderly, and held entertaining competitions between the students engaging them as she explained her different roles.

VIVA sponsored earlier this year the national festival organized by the NUKS - UK and Ireland branch every February. The event is a longstanding student festival where students from various British and Irish cities gather every year.
