unisia's President Beji Caid Essebsi met Friday with a visiting delegation of Kuwait's parliamentary friendship group, headed by MP Askar Al-Enzi, in presence of the charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Kuwait in Tunisia Emad Al-Kharraz.
During the meeting, the Tunisian President expressed his country's eagerness to bolster relations with neighboring Arab countries, and boosting friendship ties with the State of Kuwait, Tunisian Presidency said in a statement.
Meanwhile, MP Al-Enzi told KUNA that the delegation conveyed to the Tunisian leader greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker, and the Kuwaiti people, noting that the delegation congratulated Essebsi for taking the oath of office as the new President following fair presidential elections in the country.
The meeting addressed depth of Kuwaiti-Tunisian ties, as well as stability in Arab and Islamic countries, the Kuwaiti lawmaker added, affirming Kuwait's support and solidarity with Tunisia in combating terrorism, and determination for further bilateral cooperation in several fields, including investment, economic, infrastructure, and stability.
The delegation arrived in Tunisia on March 31st on an official visit, under an invitation by Tunisia's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Al-Nasser, and it is to last until April 6th.
The visit aims at promoting bilateral cooperation between the Kuwait's National Assembly and Tunisia's Parliament in several aspects.
The delegation includes MPs Mohammad Hadi Al-Huwaila, Mohamad Nasser Al-Barrak and Fares Saad Al-Otaibi.
