Thrissur Association Kuwait ends KALOLSAVAM 2016

Thrissur Association Kuwait’s two weeks cultural extravaganza ‘KALOLSAVAM 2016’ came to an end on 5 May at the Indian central school Abbassiya.

Promising young and elder talents in Kuwait, from Thrissur district participated in the event. T. Premkumar, principal of Bharatiya Vidya bhavan school Abbassiya was the chief guest for the evening.

He appreciated Thrissur Association for their wonderful efforts in promoting the talents and developing their extracurricular activities. Proceedings started with a prayer song followed by a silent prayer in remembrance of ONV Krup, Kalabhavan Mani and friends and relatives passed away in last two months. A candle light tribute was also held for Jisha who was brutally murdered in perumbavoor Kerala.

Arts Convener Mr. Rajesh gave a warm welcome speech. Association President Sebastian Vathukadan addressed the contestants and audience with his charming style for a successful and wonderful competition. Mr. Ajayakumar (General Secretary), Ambika Mukundan (Vanithavedi convenor), Ronald Frank (Kalikalam coordinator) gave felicitation speeches and Mr. Sreejith (Treasurer) conveyed vote of thanks. 

Competitions staged in 4 different venues with high standard dazzling contest witnessed by highly competent judges. All the four stages were filled with energetic crowds who gave enormous motivations to the contestants.

Competition results were announced and prize distributed on the same day. The program concluded with National Anthem sung by Association members and KALOLSAVAM 2016 curtained off around 10:30pm.
