The Viking Club marks end year fun run

The Viking Club of the Radisson Blu Hotel Kuwait marked its year end fun run with a large number of runners, doubling its previous records.  Nine winners from three categories emerged from one hundred and eighty eight runners comprised of hotel staff, members of the health club, guests and other fitness organizations. The Malaysian Ambassador to Kuwait Ambassador H.E.  Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani was present to participate in the ocassion

For the Kids category; Tor Lambert bagged the first prize followed by Adam El Dabet second place and Abdulwahab Al Kandari wining third place. For the Women’s category; Irene won first place and Lulu Askar on second place with Aman Al-Farhan on third place. For the men’s category; Pablo Gomez won first place followed by Abdullah Al Failakawi on second place with Mohammed Al Matar on third place.

The event kicked off with the registration of participants on the reception of the club and successively brought by services buses to the point of the start of the run. A ten minutes warm up led by four instructors of the Viking Club namely; Viktor, Igor Teodora and Christian perked up the event.  Runners lined up immediately at the starting line until the signal was given. Police escorts were available throughout the run to ensure safety of the runners until the finish line. The event culminated with buffet breakfast at the pool bar area of the club.

Prizes were awarded to the winners courtesy of Ismile Dental Clinic, English School of Fahaheel and dinner vouchers from Al Bustan and cakes from Eedam of The Radisson Blu Hotel. Among those who participated were triathlon athletes from FIT, The Gym Team and other local fitness and sports organizations. “The Viking Club extends its gratitude to all those who participated in the event and those who made the event possible and successful. We hope to see more participants next year,” commented Ivan Tzenkov, Director of Recreations of the Viking Club.
