The Ministry of Health has suspended the local recruitment of expatriate nurses in public hospitals and medical centers, except those who obtained nursing certificates from Kuwait.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has announced opening its door for non-Kuwaiti teachers who graduated from the faculties of Education and Physical Education and other related faculties in the country to work starting from academic year 2017/2018.

Sources revealed the male teachers can apply for almost all subjects except Physical Education and Interior Design; while female teachers can apply for French, Mathematics, Physics, Music Education, Physical Education and Interior Design. Furthermore, a decree was issued recently to transfer the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) to the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM).

Article One of the decree stipulates transfer of the MGRP from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to PAM. Article Two states that the ministers shall implement the decree from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
