The Gym Team marks World Peace Day
September 20, 2015, 11:21 am

The Gym Team celebrated on Friday morning ‘World Peace Day’ via its Zumba class held every Friday at the Chai Al Dhaha Ballroom of The Radisson Blu Hotel. Participants of the class were different instructors from several gyms and Zumba fanatics. Dressed in red and white according to the theme of the day, the workout was led by an assistant instructor of The Gym team Albert Pinos and then, the youngest Zumba Instructor Network (ZIN) certified Aby Dado masterfully delivered two Latin routines to the admiration of the crowd.

Known dancer, choreographer, fitness trainer and ZIN certified instructor Mynnah Anna Bernardo perked the half hour to a series of fusion of contemporary and classic moves as the crowd cheered. Immediately followed was a Lebanese ZIN certified instructor Helen Al-Rahi setting the floor on fire with her much entertaining and fanciful routines to the delight of the crowd. The crowd cheered for more as Al-Rahi reached her last song. Another ZIN certified and newest mentor of The Gym Team Maria Cuadra stepped on the floor to display her skills and showed what she can offer to the members. As promised, Al-Rahi returned on the floor with two contemporary songs to cool down and deliver the final stretching routines with all presenters joining Al-Rahi on stage. The crowd applauded in recognition and gratitude for a great workout.

The final highlight of the day was when all ZIN instructors with attendees delivered on camera for The Morning Talk News their greetings “Happy World Peace Day” to everyone. The Gym Team mentor Glenn Untal treated everyone to a sumptuous breakfast after the class in celebration of the occasion.

The Gym Team wishes to thank Ida Pelaud and The Viking Club of the Radisson Blu Hotel for their continuous support to the project by allowing the classes to be held every Friday at the club’s venue. The Gym team also announced its participation as instructors to lead Zumba and cardio classes for the Indonesian community every Friday under the patronage of  the Indonesian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Tatang Budie Utama Razak. The coordinator also announced that The Gym Team has been invited to lead the warm up for the sports day of the Malaysian Community in October.
