Teaching "noble occupation", says Minister of Education

Teaching is a noble occupation that is essential to the development of any nation, said Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Bader Al-Essa on Sunday. In a statement on the occasion of the World Teachers' Day, to be celebrated tomorrow, Dr. Al-Essa said that it was important to honor teachers for their efforts in building generation after generation of people serving this country.

Teachers are the building block for any movement of education around the globe and it is vital to show appreciation towards them, said the minister who expressed gratitude towards educators in Kuwait.

Held since October 5, 1994, the World Teachers Day is a worldwide UNESCO event aimed at honoring teachers for their work in the education field.
