Tango Desire and Tango Spleen perform in Kuwait

Yarmouk Cultural Centre in association with the Embassy of the Republic of Argentina in Kuwait hosted Tango Desire and Tango Spleen on 6 May. The event was attended by many.

Tango Desire:

Located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tango Desire Company has a rising career since year 2002.

Integrated by a staff of young experienced dancers, singers and musicians, performing traditional, modern and contemporary tango and nowadays also performing electronic Tango.

Their shows respect the genre essence, with a striking and modern rhythm and style, entertaining even those spectators who are not tango lovers.

One of the strongest characteristics of the company is its group choreographies which could only be achieved by high levels of knowledge of their staff members and years of hard teamwork. Their dancers are world recognized tango masters, and their singers and musicians belong to the highest level of the tango industry. Artistic quality, cordiality and enormous skill are three of their values to develop this passion.

They have been performing as a stable dancing group since 2002 in thousands of shows in their home country and abroad. Some of the countries were they performed are: China, Chile, Greece, Croatia, Serbia, France, Switzerland, England, Colombia, Kuwait, Qatar, Argentina, and Dubai, among other countries. Nowadays Tango Desire Company is one of the biggest tango groups in Argentina.

The group is lead by Carlos Ferreyra as General Manager and Alejandro Ferreyra and Fernanda Grosso as Deputy Managers. In this opportunity Tango Desire Company is composed by dancers Alejandro Ferreyra, Fernanda Grosso, Sebastian Zanchez, Malvina Gili, Roberto Castillo and Julieta Biscione.

Tango Spleen Orchestra

Tango Spleen Orchestra is a group specialised in Argentinian tango, based in Italy, founded and directed by the Argentinian singer and pianist Mariano Speranza, and integrated by the bandoneonist Francesco Bruno; the violinist Andrea Marras and bassist Daniele Bonacini.

Since the beginning in 2009 until today, it’s musical career, has been recognized as ‘’one of the leading tango orchestras of the recent period’’, with prestigious collaborations and international success. The ensemble selects a precise repertoire that describes the multiple facets of a universal genre with its own style that preserves tradition and gives impetus to the vanguard of Tango.

Tango Spleen has performed in theatres and stages all over the world, with enthusiastic reception in Italy, Argentina, Norway, Switzerland, South Korea, Russia, France, Ukraine, Monaco, Slovenia and the United States among others.

It actively collaborates with Tango dance companies, such as Tango Macho by Los Hermanos Macana, and it is constantly requested as main orchestra in many tango festivals (Tarbes, Bordeaux, Trieste, Nizza, Odessa, Aix-en-Provence, La Falda…). The recent debut in Russia, joint with the great tenor Marcelo Alvarez in Moscow, was acclaimed by the critic and public: ‘’Young virtuosos create real magic on stage!’’.
