The Tajikistan Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Zubaydullo Zubaydov celebrated his country’s 25th Independence Day at a reception on 21 September at the Sheraton Hotel.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Follow-up and Coordination Ambassador Nasser Al-Sabeeh was the guest of honor at the festivities, where in attendance were members of the diplomatic corps, Kuwaiti officials, members of the Tajikistan community and well-wishers.
Ambassador Al-Sabeeh delivered a speech, where he mentioned that Kuwait’s humanitarian activities both inside and outside the country are transparent and virtuous, and such actions only aim to contribute to the humanitarian and relief aid without any support of terrorism or funding of terrorist organizations.
He further divulged that Kuwait and Tajikistan have signed 13 bilateral agreements in areas covering development, health and trade cooperation among others, with 10 other agreements still under review for signing later.
A showcase of traditional Tajik dance and song was performed by exuberant dancers in colorful clothing. An exhibit of Tajik food, beverages and crafts was set up to spotlight the vibrant facets of the country.
