Stupendous performance by Hamoud of IIS

Hamoud, a Class XII student of Integrated Indian School (IIS), a team member in Kuwait Cricket Team, played Asian Cricket Council (ACC) under 19 Asia cup qualifiers (western region) in Malaysia. His team won the first runner up in the finals. He was honored as the ‘man of the match’ against Maldives for taking 5 wickets in 4 overs, by giving away only 4 runs. He was recognized as the best cricketer of Kuwait team, in Malaysia as he was among the top wicket takers for the team, and fourth overall among the top bowlers. He began his cricket career when his coach had picked him at the age of 13. After a successful school cricket tournament, it led him to join Kuwait under 16 squad. He also had the privilege of playing for Kuwait under 16 team at Qatar. 

He was recognized as the highest wicket taker for Kuwait in the tournament at the age of 13, under 16 opened the door for him to become a member of under 19 squad. His best bowling was getting 4 wickets and giving away only 30 runs in 7 overs against Saudi Arabia in the year 2016. He played International Cricket Council (IIC) under 19 world cup qualifiers in Malaysia, where the Kuwait team was honored the 5th position. Hamoud’s best performance against Oman for taking 3 wickets and giving away 9 runs in 7 overs aided Kuwait to a famous victory by 16 runs.

The management, principal, staff and students of IIS are proud of Hamoud and wish him to climb greater heights in cricket.
