Sonia Gandhi at AIIMS for check-up
August 26, 2013, 7:54 pm

Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Congress, was checked by doctors at Delhi's AIIMS hospital this evening.
Mrs Gandhi, 66, left Parliament at 8:15 pm escorted by her son and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, before a crucial vote on the Food Security Bill, a scheme she has championed.
Earlier, she made a rare speech in which she urged political leaders to unanimously support the welfare scheme, which entitles nearly 70 per cent of the country to cheap food.
Sources said she has been unwell and feverish since last night.
