Some teachers who participated in tests for promotion to supervisory positions in Ministry of Education had committed malpractices by copying the answers word-by-word from pamphlets that were previously prepared. This was discovered when the answer sheets were being corrected, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the concerned examination supervisors will soon refer a complaint to the Minister of Education Dr. Bader Al-Essa to put an end to such manipulations based on the conviction that such kind of malpractices should not be committed by teachers who are aiming to occupy leading positions. The supervisors also criticized the fact that they were prevented from entering the examination rooms without justification, and they wondered why the leaders of Ministry of Education were dreading their presence especially when they were the ones to set up the examinations for promotions.
In a related issue, Dr Bader Al-Essa revealed that the new Kuwait University president will be announced next week.
Meanwhile, Acting President of Kuwait University said the university has taken the initiative of forming a committee to demolish prefabricated classrooms in the faculties and buildings of Kuwait University, stressing that the safety and security of students and professors should not be neglected.
