The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has taken a chain of measures to trim expenditure slashing some KD 2.7 million worth of the total value of vehicles' patents, a ministry official said on Wednesday. The ministry has also suspended "any unjustified spending in a manner that would neither affect regular work nor level of the services offered," said Sheikha Al-Adwani, the ministry assistant undersecretary for financial and administrative affairs, in a statement.
She also indicated that special financial allocations were revised so that disbursements be for those who really earn them. The trimming covered disbursements for additional work. The tight-belt policy at the ministry is being implemented in line with instructions by Minister Hind Al-Sabeeh.
