Kuwait Public Authority for Industry (PAI) announced its intention to adopt a smart interactive screen project to reduce the documentary cycle of industrial transactions and procedures, PAI's Deputy Director General of Administration and Financial Affairs Abdulkareem Taqi announced Monday.
Taqi told KUNA that the smart interactive screen project is in the study phase and the implementation will be within 15 months, adding that the new project is the first experiment of its kind in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The project aims to improve the path of industrial development in Kuwait using new technology, as well as increasing the productivity of the Authority, Taqi added.
Taqi said the interactive screen project is an integrated service center and will be distributed through PAI's affiliate stations, in addition to Citizen Service Centers in the country.
The Public Authority for Industry (PAI) was established on January 15th, 1997 as a public independent agency supervised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
PAI aims to develop, promote, and supervise the industrial activities in the country as well as seeking national economic goals.
