The Smart Indian School conducted extempore competition for grades 5 and 6 along with the ‘Speaking Tree’ (story telling) competition for grades 1 and 2.
Every student from the grades partook in full measure that their performance was adjudged by selective parameters. The participants exhibited an active enthusiasm for the topics like, ‘the type of art they want to look at’, ‘table manners - are they important’, 'the kind of books they would like to write if they would be the authors’ and more.
The creative impulses they had for the topics, the spontaneity of the language and the cheerful demeanor proved their affinity towards the saying, ‘participating is as important as winning.’
The panel of judges with the pleasure of seeing the astonishing caliber of some students listed few with extraordinary talents by crowning them as ‘smart winners’ of the competitions.
The number of spontaneous stories with enormous props instilled a deeper level of confidence in the children. It was praiseworthy to see when students’ topics were summarized by the audience after their speeches, thus proving to evaluate the efficacy of the speakers.
