Six thousand expatriates comprising 10 nationalities have been deported from the country during the first quarter of 2015 — at the rate of 70 expatriates per day, reports a local daily. A security source pointed out, Bangladeshis were the highest number of deportees, followed by Ethiopians with Sri Lanka in third place and Indians in fourth.

A security source pointed out positive change and development in the process of quick deportation has contributed to easing the burden on detention cells at police stations and security departments. The source explained the Talha Deportation Center received 26,000 people in 2014 and 25,000 of them have already been deported.
