An inspection team from the General Cleaning and Road Works Department at the Kuwait Municipality branch in Ahmadi confiscated six lorries loaded with vegetables and fruits, in addition to the removal of a huge pile of garbage in a recent campaign against hawkers and random markets in Mahboula.
According to the Public Relations Department in the Municipality, the control units will continue inspecting random markets in the area in a bid to track down hawkers and those violating Municipality regulations, in collaboration with the governorate’s security personnel.
Meanwhile, Director of the branch Eng Yaseen Al-Yaseen affirmed that intensive inspection campaigns will continue in the area to nab all those who committed violations. He said they are keen on dealing with the marginalized labor force as they usually set up random markets to sell foodstuff deemed not fit for human consumption. He added the campaigns are aimed at protecting public health.
