Signor Sassi

One of the most celebrated Italian restaurants in London, which made its way to Kuwait in 2010, is located on Gulf Road next to Kuwait Towers. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the Arabian Gulf through its floor-to-ceiling windows, which pour wonderful light into the open-plan restaurant, large enough to cater to over 100 guests. The whole place buzzes with vivacity, with songs emanating from the kitchen as chefs serenade their food. The elaborate menu: appetizers, salads, and, as it goes with traditional Italian menus, two main meals, one of pasta and the other of different sorts of meats and vegetarian dishes, followed by dessert. The entire meal tastes exactly like something you would have at a topnotch high-end restaurant on High Street London.

Our choice: Fettucine Alfredo with chicken, pasta tossed with butter, cream and parmesan cheese, and served with stuffed chicken breast with spinach and cheese.

Location: Gulf Road near the Kuwait Towers. Call 2241 8893.
