The Institut Français in association with the French Embassy in Kuwait, is organizing a concert featuring acclaimed world-folk troupe Sherazade and LavionRose on 21 March at the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Centre at 7:30.

The globetrotting musical fusionists are set to play a selection of French songs to mark March as the month of ‘Francophonie’ as well as other songs in multiple languages. The project pairs multilingual Russian-Algerian singer Sherazade with folky French quintet LavionRose, who together create beguiling sonic East-West fusions. Listeners can expect to hear haunting folk Gypsy melodies and psych-rock freak-outs alike, sung in no less than six languages.
