Senthamil Kalai Mandram (SKM), a nonprofit organization founded and registered with the Indian Embassy, organized a function to commemorate its 3rd anniversary at the Indian Embassy auditorium on Friday, 21 October.
The function was inaugurated by igniting the traditional lamp in the presence of celebrities, donors, members of SKM and audience. The Tamil anthem was sung by the SKM singer team before a welcome address was given by Sankar Natarajan and the SKM President Mr. Rajsekaran delivered a short speech underlining SKM’s past achievements and future events.
Famous Carnatic singer and Tamil playback singer Mrs. Sindhu Devi mesmerized the audience with her special voice and with the support of the local BOSS musical team. Following their session, she received a standing ovation from the audience for her best performance. The compeering was done by well-known TV personalities.
Donors and celebrity guests were honored by the SKM Founder President and administrative committee members with gifts and memento to show their affection.
The vote of thanks was provided by Vice President Mr .Gomathinayagam and the function concluded on positive sentiment.
SKM works for and on behalf of the large Tamil speaking community by encouraging and placing a spotlight on young talents. SKM organizes gatherings every month on the first Friday have to develop and embolden the talents of its members on continuous basis.
