Saudi Arabia on Tuesday executed Prince Turki Bin Saud Bin Turki Bin Saud Al Kabir after he was found guilty of killing a Saudi man during a dispute.
The Interior Ministry said in a statement that the execution was carried out in the capital Riyadh.
“Turki Bin Saud Bin Turki Bin Saud Al Kabir, a Saudi national, had shot Adel Bin Sulaiman Bin Abdul Kareem Al Muhaimeed, also a Saudi national, following a group dispute,” the Interior Ministry said.
“The criminal was arrested and he was charged with committing a crime, He was referred to the court which issued a death verdict. The case was taken to the Court of Appeals and then to the High Court (The Court of Cassation) and the initial death sentence was upheld. A royal order was issued to carry out the execution," the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry said that the Saudi government was keen on establishing security and achieving justice.
The crime occurred more than three years ago in the Thamama area in Riyadh.
