
Salmiya Indian Model School conducted its Investiture ceremony on 20 September. New members were inducted into the student governing body, as were class prefects from grade IV to XII.
The guests were welcomed by the members of the council with a quick march to the beat of the drum. This was followed by the solemn ceremony, which was attended by SIMS chairman Dr Mohammed Tariq, the representative of their sponsor, Ahmed Ibrahim Dashti, Director Dr Anis Ahmad, Principal Elizabeth Joseph, Vice-Principal Anita Sadanand, parents of the new council members, teachers and students.
The new council was initiated with badges and sashes, and was administered the Oath of office by the Principal.
The Director welcomed the gathering while the Chairman gave the new council valuable words of advice. The newly inducted Head boy, Fahad Rehan and Head girl, Faith Sarah Luke, delivered their maiden speeches.
The function concluded with a vote of Thanks by Vice Principal.
