St. Thomas Evangelical Church of India, Kuwait Parish (STECI) will be holding its Golden Jubilee closing ceremony at NECK church (National Evangelical Church of Kuwait) and Parish hall on 29 September at 7:00pm.
Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Abraham (Chairman Prathinidhi Sabha) will inaugurate the Public Meeting, chaired by Rev. Saji Abraham (Vicar, Kuwait Parish). The first resident vicar, Rev. P. M. Joseph (Chief Guest), along with the presbyters, diplomats and other dignitaries, leaders and pastors from various congregations will grace this blessed function. On this occasion the Golden Jubilee Souvenir will be released by Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Abraham.
The year 2015-2016 will be written in Golden letters in the history of St.Thomas Evangelical Church of India- Kuwait Parish, as it celebrate its 50th year with wide range of Programs conducted by the Sunday School, Youth Union, Women's Fellowship and Choir.
Presiding Bishop Most. Rev. Dr C. V. Mathew had inaugurated the year long Golden Jubilee celebrations on 25 September 2015 in a function organized at NECK Church and Parish Hall which was well attended by more than hundreds of devoted members of the parish.
The Golden Jubilee inauguration reiterated its mission by declaring open many projects to serve the community. The projects not only provided financial and medical aid for the needy, but also extended to construction of churches, parsonage and houses, providing vehicles for missionaries, providing aid to missionary children in terms of educational and marital support along with part-taking in church's various projects.
Under the leadership of the project convener, George Varughese, most of the projects have reached its conclusion stage and the report of the same will be presented during the closing ceremony.
The arrangements of the closing ceremony are progressing with various sub-committees, under the able leadership of Vicar Rev. Saji Abraham, Boney K. Abraham (Secretary) and George Cherian (Program Convener).
