SIX NATIONS CRICKET FESTIVAL: Afghanistan meet Bangladesh in opener

Kuwait Cricket is the sole official cricket controlling body of Kuwait who manages and organizes cricket affairs locally and internationally under the auspices of Kuwait Olympic Committee.

As an associate member of ICC (International Cricket Council) & a full  member of ACC (Asian Cricket Council), Kuwait Cricket has held several prestigious international tournaments successfully in Kuwait, incredibly the most popular outfit catering the needs of Kuwait’s cricket fraternity has unveiled an exciting program to ensure players, cricket fans and the broader public enjoy the annual traditional Festival cricket tournament scheduled to be held at its newly designed Sulaibiya cricket ground on April 4, 2014.The ground’s idyllic setting provides the perfect backdrop and a great attraction for cricket fans, new supporters and big cricketing stars.

The participating Nations are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan & host Kuwait and this festival extravaganza will showcase two highly important features namely the participation of Kuwait National cricket team comprising of only Kuwaiti Nationals and for the first time in the history of cricket in Kuwait, a full-fledged Afghanistan team is in the fray along with the big brothers of Asian region. Each participating nation will comprise players of their respective nation residing in Kuwait and the teams have been grouped in two pools. The initial round of matches will be played during the coming weeks, followed by the mega final on April 4, 2014 at Sulaibiya ground.

Cricket will not be the only attraction at this event and Kuwait Cricket, in keeping with the carnival atmosphere has lined up to have variety of entertainment programs plus food, drinks and other stalls to ensure that cricket fan’s entry is free, fun filled & exciting.
