SIS holds Hindi Divas

Events like Hindi Divas are the heart and soul of a school where everyone gets an opportunity to know their significance.

The Hindi Divas was celebrated at Smart Indian School (SIS) with much pomp and show on 12 January 2017. The participants welcomed the audience. The program started with an invocation by the tiny tots of grade 1 followed by a captivating speech by Priyati of grade 3, speaking on the importance of Hindi. The dance by students of Grade 2 on 'Lakri ki katti' enthralled one and all. The different performances in the form of poetry recitation, group /solo dances and songs by various classes mesmerized the audience.

The solo song “Chalte – Chalte” by Tia, a grade 1 student was the show stopper as her beaming confidence and melodious voice enchanted all present. The street play on the theme – 'Corruption' presented by students of grade 5 & 7  was an eye opener and  it showed the true  picture of the evils prevalent in  our society.

The Principal Mahesh Iyer proposed the vote of thanks and sang a melodious song touching on the pure feeling of  ‘Love’. The program concluded on a cheerful note .
