December 26, 2016, 5:31 pm

Smart Indian School (SIS) held the National Mathematics Day on 22 December, 2016 with a variety of mathematical activities and games organized. In recognition of the genius hero Srinivas Ramanujan’s contribution to mathematics, the maths department stressed the view that mathematics is the cradle of all creations and without which the world can’t move forward.

The highlight of the day was the collage competition conducted for graders 5, 6 and 7, which involved participants playing with the platform heavily based on the pardigmatic man of the day. The school makes mathematics easier and enjoyable through its curriculum involving maths-based activities and games in order to develop clarity in students’ thinking caliber.

The day’s program  infused new life into the weekend as it was arranged in a methodical and systematic manner. The activities of the day encouraged the power of reasoning, creativity, spatial thinking, problem solving ability and even effective communication skills among the smart students .
