SIF-Kuwait announces second edition of IGNITE science writing contest

Science International Forum (SIF-Kuwait) recently announced the second edition of IGNITE Science Writing Contest which was introduced in 2015 as a tribute to late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The contest offers complete freedom to the contestants, to travel through their imagination exploring the possibilities of Science and is open to all, in Sub Junior/Junior/ Senior and Adult category.

The theme for this year is Transformation using technology.’

In 2025, After Obtaining a PHD from IISc, you landed up in a remote Indian village as part of your professional assignment.

Write down a Story/Memoir/ Write up of not more than 1200 words (MS Word) on how you ended up transforming the lives of Villagers using Science and Technology and email in word format with details including
Name, email, school, class, age and contact no in case of students.

Name, email id, professional details, age and contact no in case of adults.

The background of the writing should be real and researching. Technology solutions can be fictional. Writing should be in MS word format and should be sent as an attachment to the given email id. Writing with decorative images will not be accepted, however real images of visited places are fine.


Sub Junior- Class 5,6,7
Junior- Class 8,9,10
Senior- Class 11,12
Adults- Age18 and Above
