The Romanian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Daniel TÄƒnase hosted a reception to mark his country’s National Day. The event, which took place on 4 December at the Sheraton Hotel, was attended by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Khaled Al-Jarallah, as Chief Guest, along with members of the diplomatic corps, Kuwaiti officials and media personnel.
In his speech on the occasion, the Romanian Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the cordial welcome he received from Kuwait's leadership headed by H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He described the relationship between the two countries, which began 53 years ago, as solid and growing, and that various opportunities continue to exist for greater cooperation between Romania and Kuwait.
For his part, Minister Al-Jarallah stated that the Kuwaiti-Romanian relationship was strong and that both sides intended for such relations to continue developing in various aspects. Speaking on behalf of Kuwait and its people, he stressed that they fully appreciate the diplomatic relationship between Kuwait and Romania, and he went on to predict a promising future with stronger cooperation in different fields like tourism and investment.
Romania's National Day, also called ‘Great Union Day', falls on 1 December and honors the declaration of the union of Transylvania with Romania.
