The Food and Markets Monitoring Unit of the Services Follow-up and Inspection Department affiliated to Capital Municipality recently carried out an Inspection campaign inside the Fish Market in Al-Mubarakiya during which officials issued 19 citations and requested the closure of a shop and destruction of 22 kilograms of fish, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The inspection was a part of a campaign titled ‘Your Health Concerns Us’ which was initiated by the Municipality in preparation for the Holy Month of Ramadan. It will cover all activities of various departments and monitoring teams in the Municipality branches across the six governorates.
According to Director of Services Follow-up and Inspection Department at Capital Municipality Eman Al-Kandan', the campaigns are being held in food shops, restaurants, cooperative society stores, markets and sale outlets. She declared that the Public Relations Department participating in the campaign held at the Al-Mubarakiya Market, revealed that the campaigns are based on directives from Director General of Kuwait Municipality Eng Ahmad Al-Manfouhi.
