Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), the country’s tourism promoting body, held a special dinner networking event in Kuwait at the Taiba Tent, Movenpick Hotel, on 29 November for special invitees and media personnel.
During the event, a delegation of senior representatives of Qatar’s hotels and tourism suppliers were on hand to reveal the many activities, attractions and events that Qatar tourism offers to GCC tourists.
As part of the show, free tickets by Qatar Airways and accommodation by Rotana Hotel was also offered.
According to QTA, the number of visitors to Qatar in 2015 increased by 11 percent over the previous year, reflecting the booming tourism industry in the country. QTA also expanded the number of its international offices from two to five during the last one year. The authority expects that by 2030, Qatar National Tourism Sector will attract seven to nine million visitors annually. In preparation for this surge in visitors, tourism services are being improved and the number of hotels and other infrastructure are being increased.
