Punjabi cultural show showcases colourful, vibrant dances

The Indian Embassy in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) organized an Indian cultural evening on 4 May at Kaifan Theatre.  The Punjabi Lok Rang Cultural Youth Club from Ludhiana and Punjab, led by renowned dancer Sandeep Kumar, staged a lively dance performance for a crowd that included diplomats from many countries and other dignitaries.

The Indian troupe exhibited many energetic dance numbers with spirited emotions to upbeat music, regaling the audience. The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Sunil Jain spoke a few words for the occasion. The Embassy of India in Kuwait planned the Indian cultural evening of engaging Punjabi music and dance as part of the cultural cooperation exchange between Kuwait and India.

The Punjabi Lok Rang Cultural Club is a popular troupe on stages across Punjab, having won awards for their numerous stage performances during Republic and Independence Day celebrations and at National Youth Festivals and Games. Under the auspices of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and in associations with Indian embassies in the respective countries, the troupe has also staged shows in South Korea, Vietnam and Oman.
