March 31, 2014, 10:48 am

A morning meet was held between members of Pinoy Digital Photographers in Kuwait (PINDOT) and Lightbenders on the Gulf Road to catch the break of day. The collaboration is the first of its kind among two prominent groups to spearhead a closer relationship and a preview of the positive outcome of collaboration.

In a brief interview with President of Lightbenders, Al Manlangit stated that the organization has always supported its members and the community. He urged those who have an inclination to photography to join the group and be guided by mentors with good experience and knowledge. As for Evaritus Reyes, President of PINDOT said that the collaboration is a unique and fun gathering of exemplary photographers.

He also said that PINDOT takes an active role in mentoring new members and participates in sharing their resources and talents with the community, especially with those who are less fortunate and distressed.

The event ended with group photo shoot and proceeded to a restaurant in Kuwait City where the photos taken were reviewed and five winners were chosen: First prize was awarded to Erwin Florentino Second Prize went to Jobs Torres, Third Prize was awarded to Jose Beltran, Fourth Prize was given to Cesar Pena Jr. and Fifth Prize to Do.  Both presidents of the groups thanked everyone who attended the occasion and encourage other photography organizations to join.
