The Hawalli police have arrested a Kuwaiti for committing several armed robberies and handed him over to the authorities, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said the arrest came after police received confidential information about the thief and searched his home and car. Police have reportedly seized from him the blue flasher light the type used by police, stolen credit cards and cell phones in addition to dozens of car plate numbers. In spite of the find, he denied the charges filed against him.
The daily added, several people have recognized him during a police lineup. Security sources say according to police the man has committed 19 thefts - robbed expatriates of their money and other valuables worth approximately KD 20,000.
