Pink Thursday at The Sunshine Kindergarten
October 18, 2017, 3:16 pm

The Sunshine Kindergarten (TSK) went pink last week to raise money for a special charity, The Al-Sidra Association, in Kuwait. The Al-Sidra association is a psychological support center for women and their families who are living with cancer

Staff and students at TSK organised a bake sale which helped raise over KD600 in one hour. Parents and families of the students showed incredible support for the event and so many of the guests wore pink for the occasion. Miss Heather, the Principal of TSK, was delighted when members of the Kuwait IWG came along to support the event. They wore their pink ribbons with pride.

But the day wasn’t all about yummy food. On this special day, Sixth Form Students from The British School of Kuwait (BSK) provided a wide array of exciting activities for the young children. There was face painting, nail painting, stick-on tattoos, popcorn making and a photo shoot opportunity where the children got to take home their own personal photo with The TSK pink elephant.

TSK students were not only able to enhance their skills whilst making these items, but were able to recognise the good work they could achieve by selling their products and raising money to help other people.
