The Mexican Embassy in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters organized a stage show featuring well-known Mexican music and dance troupe, ‘Mariachi Romatitlan’ on Thursday, 22 September at the Abdul Hussain Abdel Redha Theater. The Mexican Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Miguel Ángel Isidro delivered a speech to the gathering comprised of diplomats, various nationalities and media.
The troupe performed several Mexican dances that reflected the rich vibrancy of Mexican folk music and dance traditions. Demonstrating an upbeat rhythm, the troupe movements revolved around the folksy sound from the assembled players. The Mexican heritage was beautifully outlined through colorful costumes and engaging dancers working on props to present a night of fun entertainment.
Mariachi Romatitlan is made of 10 members from different nationalities who appreciate traditional Mexican music. Since the 1980’s, the band has participated in shows in numerous venues and for different occasions, adding to their growing success and repute.
