Parents beware of new drug in schools
January 14, 2015, 10:33 am

Parents and guardians should be aware of the danger lurking in schools in Kuwait.  A warning has been released that a harmful new drug called 'strawberry quick ' is being given to students. It is also called strawberry meth.  It  is a type of crystal meth that looks like strawberry pop rocks (the candy that sizzles and 'pops' in your mouth) and is going around schools.  Strawberry meth also smells like strawberry and it is being handed out to kids in school yards.  Children are ingesting this with the assumption that it is candy and then, fall sick in a dire condition and have to be rushed off to the hospital for medical treatment. The drug is also comes in chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape and orange.

The situtation is very scary and is of great concern to parents and guardians, who need to be aware and take proper action. Parents, teachers and guardians are instructed to remind your children not to accept candy from strangers and even to refuse candy that looks like strawberry meth from a friend (who may have been given it and believed it is candy). Any suspicious looking substance should be taken to the concerned authorities like a teacher, principal, security guard etc. immediately.

This message should be shared with as many people as possible to raise awareness and hopefully prevent any tragedies from occurring.
