Pakistan quake death toll up to 45
At least 45 people were killed and hundreds other wounded in the strong earthquake that struck parts of Pakistan earlier on Monday. According to reports, at least 45 people were killed and scores injured due to roof and building collapses in the northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. An aftershock of 4.8 magnitudes was also reported in many parts of the country. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Hindu Kush mountain range.
Eight people, including women and children were killed in Swat, while four people were killed in the Bajaur tribal region after buildings collapsed in the area. Three people were killed in Kallar Kahar and Sargodha areas. 10 people were killed in Chitral and three in Gilgit-Baltistan. At least 194 people were injured in Swat area of KPK while 100 wounded have been admitted to Peshawar's Lady Reading Hospital.
