Pakistan Sports Association organizes Blood Donation Camp

Pakistan Sports Association, a well known sports organization in Kuwait, organized its first Blood Donation Camp on Friday, 4 December at the Kuwait Central Blood Bank in Jabriya.  The association and its members volunteered to organize the camp titled, 'A Noble Cause to Serve the Humanity', and most notably, a large turnout arrived with enthusiasm to honor the occasion. More than 135 people donated blood during the event.

Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait H.E. Muhammad Aslam Khan was the Chief Guest of the event and delivered the key note address. He was briefed on the different stages the donated blood goes through, how it is preserved and how a bottle of donated blood can save up to 3 lives.

He also commended the efforts of the association to reach the masses with a great message and achieving a large turnout for such a great cause.  He stated “I am delighted to see such a well-organized, disciplined and successful blood donation camp organized by Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait. He showed appreciation for the efforts made by the Pakistan Sports Association in this noble cause, and gave assurance that the Embassy of Pakistan will support them in the future as well.

Ali Raza (Ex-President PSA) travelled all the way from Qatar to Support this blood donation drive.

Media coverage was done by Atif Siddiuie (Paksitani in Kuwait), M.Riaz (Pakistan UPTO Date), Khalid Noor (Pak Media), M.Irfan Shafiq (Q8Info), Sharief Hadesvi (Aaghaz News), Shahid Iqbal (VOOP).

Many pakistanis from the Pakistani community participated in the event along with many Kuwaiti citizens, India, Egyptian, Filipino, Nepalese and various Nationalities came out to support the 'Noble Cause to serve the Humanity'.

Refreshments such as fresh juices and snacks were served to the participating donors along with a Official Memento from the Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait.

The Pakistan Sports Association Team would like to give thanks to all participants, donors, sponsors, co-Sponsors, volunteers, executive members, media partners, community supporters and each single person who were part of the drive.

Pakistan Sports Association appreciated the efforts of the many participating team members including M. Younus Shahid, Farzan Tariq, Aqeel Khan, Waqas Ahmed, Sajid Hassan, Waseem Bajwa, Sami Javed, Yousef Naqvi, Sohaib Fouzi, Sajid Mahmoud, Khalil Ahmed, Tanveer Ahmed and Saad Ahmed in making this event a success. Female Members in the Supervision of Dr. Attiya Anjum, Nadia Muhammad and Bushra Waqas did an excellent job to help the female donors. Irfan Adil, Maqbool Ahmed and M.Irfan Shafiq coordinated the entire event.
