PAS organizes Pakistan Independence Day Cricket Cup

Pakistan Sports Association (PAS) Kuwait organized Pakistan Independence Day T20 Cricket Cup 2017 on 17 August, 2017 at Salmiya Cricket ground. The Independence Day T20 Cricket Cup match was played between Pakistan Green XI and Pakistan White XI. Pakistan White won the toss and elected to bat first and they scored 104 runs in allotted overs, which were achieved by Pakistan Green in the last over leading them to win the Pakistan Independence Day T20 Cricket Cup 2017 by 4 wickets.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at the end of the match. President of Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait Maqbool Ahmed, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil, Vice President Muhammad Younas Shahid, Advisor M.Irfan Shafiq, well-known personalities Muhammad Bilal, Ashraf Zia and Muhammad Sulman were among the gathering of dignitaries and cricket lovers that watched the thrilling game.Pakistan White captain Maqbool Ahmed received the Runner up Trophy while Pakistan Green clinched the Winner Trophy, received by Captain Taimoor Fayyaz.

At this stage, PSA Founder/Director General Muhammad Irfan Adil highlighted the significance of Pakistan's Independence Day.Mr. Ahmed, President PSA said that Pakistan Sports Association Kuwait (PSA) engaged the youth and community in positive and healthy sports activities. He added that it is an avenue for camaraderie and to develop a sense of belonging among individuals in the shared pursuit of sports and to provide an outlet for advanced participation and to compete in a particular sport.

PSA is a non-political, non partisan and non-governmental organization, founded by Muhammad Irfan Adil on 14 August, 2013. Headed by Maqbool Ahmed and powered by Sports lovers. PSA is organizing sports events and festivals among the community with the collaboration of local sports authorities and will work together with local organizations and charities to enhance the standing and awareness of the benefits of sports and exercise. The organization will keep holding such sporting events and healthy activities among the youth and community.

At the end of the ceremony, M. Irfan Shafiq, PSA Advisor, thanked all the guests for witnessing the thrilling game of cricket. Certificates of participation were presented to all players and match officials by the distinguished guests.
