Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources (PAAFR) announced on Monday that its Director General Faisal Al-Hasawi has formed a team to study the possibility of investing in sport courts in public gardens and setting the terms and conditions needed to establish these courts.
Director of Marketing and Investment at PAAFR and head of the team, Sodfa Al-Kandari, told KUNA that 37 courts have been allocated in public gardens all over the country as for phase one, where 30 more are getting ready to be delivered once all permits have been available.
She added that PAAFR has future plans to increase the number of these courts in conjunction with the increase of new public gardens. Al-Kandari stated that the team is set to identify the gardens and the locations for the said courts, adding that the team would be in charge of setting the rules and regulations for this project.
She also said that after completion of the team's work, the project would then be floated for public tender to be erected by specialized companies that are interested in investing and managing this national project. She added that coordination has been made between PAAFR, Kuwait Municipality and the Public Authority for Sports to activate the sport courts project in the public gardens.
