Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, State Minister for Planning and Development Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh affirmed the list of names of expatriate employees who have spent over 30 years in service was sent to the Undersecretary for termination of their appointment, while the list of names of their Kuwaiti counterparts in the same category will be ready within two days time.
The minister indicated the possibility of referring amendment of the charity works law to the National Assembly by next week. She revealed that she already sent a copy of the law to the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) to include some amendments.
She declared that the volunteer works law will be prepared before issuing regulations in that regard by early next year. She indicated that some volunteer groups are now working without legal backing.
She also said that reshuffling and transfer of some officials will soon happen, but the need to ensure that none of the officials lose seniority cadre is the reason why procedures are taken silently with thorough study. She said the ministry has started implementing a circular from the Council of Ministers to reduce expenditures by 25 percent from the last fiscal year.
