Ooredoo participated in the Gulf University of Science and Technology 16th Career Fair as platinum sponsor on Wednesday, 3 December and Thursday, 4 December. Ooredoo was the only telecom company to participate in this career fair. The career fair opened its doors from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and received visitors from different majors from GUST and other universities.
Driven by its social responsibility, Ooredoo is keen to take part in such occasions as it is always willing to support youth and help them reach their potential and shape their career paths. Ooredoo was the only telecom service provider that participated in the fair.
Commenting on the company’s participation, Chief of Human Resources and Administration Services Saleh Al-Houti said: “It is of great importance that we participate in such an event, because we strongly believe in the role that the youth play in creating a better future. We especially believe in talented Kuwaiti youth, who can be partners in our success as a telecom service provider operating in Kuwait.”
The job fair was attended by a delegation from the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program, headed by the General Secretary Dr. Fouzi Al-Majdaly, as well as GUST management representatives. Ooredoo Human Resources representatives, lead by Human Resources Director Omar Al Bassam, explained to students the benefits of working for Ooredoo and the different career growth opportunities provided by the company.
Ooredoo announced that this is not the first time that it has taken part in a job fair; it has successfully participated in several job fairs in the past. The company’s aim is to open new horizons for the ambitious youth by giving them an opportunity to apply their educational knowledge to the professional world.
