Ooredoo Kuwait organised a trip to watch Paris Saint-Germain for athletes and students from different universities in Kuwait. The trip, which started on the 24 October, also included sports radio host Manaf Ashkanani and social media figure Omar Al-Othman. Participants attended a football game at the Paris Saint-Germain’s famous arena, the Parc des Princes.
The participants attended Paris Saint-Germain’s game vs Bordeaux, which ended with a victory for PSG of 3-0. Abdulrahman Bohamad, a 20-year old mass communication student who attended the game said: “Seeing the players live in the stadium is an unforgettable experience. I was so lucky to be there among the audience, and it was such a nice thing from Ooredoo to give us access to an exclusive stadium tour.”
Another student, 21-year old Mohamad Daher, said: “I had such a great time there in the field, among other supporters of Paris Saint-Germain. I didn’t follow French football much but lately I’ve been keeping an eye on Paris Saint-Germain because it’s one of the rising teams in the Champions League. I’m so happy I went on this trip. I made friends with very nice people there and got into engaging discussions about football with a sports radio host there. It was really a wonderful break especially for me as a student.”
Before the trip took place, Ooredoo Kuwait General Manager and CEO Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Thani met with the participants at the Ooredoo Kuwait headquarters in Kuwait City and congratulated them for winning the chance to visit Paris Saint-Germain. He said: “Football is one of the passions that bring together thousands of people from different communities, especially the youth. Paris Saint-Germain is one of the rising European football clubs, witnessing a growing fan base in Kuwait and around the region.”
