The parliamentary Priorities Committee discussed Sunday the importance of monitoring environmental violations and agreed on allocating land for the recycling of tyres and another area for waste disposal. Committee Rapporteur MP Ahmad Lari disclosed the committee also talked about the Doha Station which will be completed after four years, planting trees along the highways and borders, and handing over the zoo and fodder projects to the private sector. He said the committee assessed the programs of the Environment Public Authority (EPA), noting that the authority’s bylaws will be issued within two weeks.
He added the committee discussed with the Defense Ministry representatives the Military College projects that will be implemented in accordance with the new law on tenders and the problems of Special Forces.
