New Look launches exciting Autumn/Winter 2014 collection
November 18, 2014, 11:43 am

New Look’s launches its Autumn Winter 2014 collection which features this season’s most covetable key pieces and trends for men and women. For women, the fabrics are smooth and futuristic and decoration comes in bold linear patterns, flashes of pink and daring animal prints. Think sculpted shapes, layering and graphic black and white. Relaxed daywear sees brushed cotton-check shirting mixed with chunky knitwear and felted wool in gritty khaki tones.  Boyfriend jeans and acid washes update the denim collection.

Landing in-store in time to address every festive fashion challenge, New Look’s evening story revisits the late 1960s for fabulous partywear. Lush velvets and shimmering metallics are covered with embellishment, complemented by gorgeously bejewelled party shoes.

Throughout the entire collection, eye-catching embroidery, fringing and flashes of fluoro transform easy pieces into absolute must-haves. Checks are a big deal in everything from elegant tailoring, statement clutches and killer heels to cosy scarves, sweaters and blanket coats.

Outerwear is varied and stylish; parkas with uber-luxe furry hoods, cocoon coats in bold checks and pastels and over-sized boyfriend coats in mannish checks.  Throw on some soft faux fur in the form of scarves, snoods and stoles, or as detailing on bags. In contrast, footwear toughens up with chunky soles, textural interest and metal hardware. New Look’s womenswear range includes Petites, for women 5’3” and under, and Inspire, available up to size 28.

For men the New Look A/W14 collection has strong naval and military influences; stormy seas and dark skies inspire the colour palette, prints and heavy textures. Deep blues and greens are accented with pops of neon and offset with khaki and muted tones. Cable knit jumpers, wool pea coats, Breton stripes and heavy military boots are key. Urban influences are seen in sportswear separates – joggers, tees and baseball jackets are given a luxe update with the use of zips, panelling and texture.

Tailoring is slim and tapered with a modern update on checks, dogtooth and contrast panelling. Long wool overcoats and PU details showcase a darker direction for formalwear. Slogan sweats alongside pastel hues give a Parisian-chic edge that adds a touch of prep to the collection. The Tokyo Laundry concession offers streetwise pieces, fronted by hoodies and shirts in bright colours and soft, comfy materials.
New Look Student Discount card is available at all stores.

The collection is available at New Look stores located at The Avenues and Al Bairaq Mall, Fintas.

Opening soon in Salam Mall in Salmiya .

its depending on where you live. Here in Canada winetr get extremely cold. I spend a lot of my free time outside so i need an excellent coat(outside meaning skiing and such) that is about 300-400 (i know expensive but what would you rather do: spend a lot of money or get sick and catch a flu?) i'd rather spend money. And for a regualr winetr jacket (not for the extremely cold days and for days just for recess or staying outside a bit will be about 200. It alos depends on where you live and how cold it gets!
