Ministry of Education Thursday started receiving applications from interested male and female teachers who desire to join the teaching staff of the ministry for 2016/2017 academic year. According to the Director of Human Resources Affairs Saud Al-Juwaiser, the administrative sector of the ministry considers the stipulated rules and regulations when accepting the applications.
He disclosed that the department has well prepared applications for the specialties required by the Public Education Sector, reiterating that the applicants should meet the terms and conditions in order to be qualified for the job.
Al-Juwaiser announced that the applications are being received inside the auditorium of building number 2 at the ministry’s headquarters, indicating his hope that a large number of people will apply for the job. He explained that the specialties for which only male expatriate applicants can apply include Arabic language, English language, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geology and Technical Education. Both expatriate male and female candidates can apply for French, Mathematics and Music. Female applicants can only apply for Physical Education.
Al-Juwaiser revealed that the condition related to experience has been waived for applicants from GCC countries as well as Bedoun applicants for all specialties. The same privilege is accorded for male and female expatriate applicants in Physical Education and Music.
He stressed that male and female expatriate applicants for other specialties should have minimum two-year experience if they hold education certificates and three-year experience if they are noneducation certificate holders. Al-Juwaiser explained that supporting documents to be submitted by expatriate applicants include copies of their academic certificates attested by the embassy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, transcripts and attested letter of experience.
This is in addition to copies of passport, residence visa, civil ID card, letter of no-objection from the sponsor and authorization letter. Applicants who are in Kuwait on all types of visit visas are not eligible for application, while residence visa for applicants should be valid for a minimum of three months.
Meanwhile, the Administrative Affairs Department has started receiving female expatriate teachers for updating their data concerning payment of the housing allowance in line with the relevant procedures. Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) intends to sign contracts for the construction of new buildings in Sabah Al-Ahmad and Jaber Al-Ahmad in order to accommodate the growing student population, reports Al-Nahar daily quoting official spokesperson of PAAET Fatma Al-Azmi. Al-Azmi revealed the contracts will be signed in the headquarters of the authority on Thursday.
